Julie grew up in Mt. Pleasant, NC. She later attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, where she earned her bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies and minored in both philosophy and religion. She is passionate about environmental causes and prides herself on being a green photographer. Julie also enjoys volunteer work with animal rescues in her spare time. She regularly contributes her photography skills to benefit animal adoptions. She was honored to be asked to decorate the newly renovated Humane Society of Charlotte. You can view her photography and custom paintings throughout the building. Julie also volunteers for NILMDTS, Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep, a charity that offers remembrance & heirloom photography for parents suffering from the loss of newborn. She resides in Concord, NC with her husband Paul, daughter Annabelle, three dogs and cat.
